nasco steering lock

have a nasco steering lock
its the one that slides onto the steering shaft and has a pin when the key is turned slides into the honey pot
it stops the gear shift from moving
my problem is l have no key ,the lock is off the column but the local locksmith is having a hard time
finding a key to fit
can anyone advise on what l can do

I had this problem but my locksmith sent it to 3 other locksmiths before they were able to do it!
Problem with mine was also the shaft that goes up to lock was seized! All that and only cost me $25! Now just to fit it :?
if you can't get it done where you are let me know and sure we can work something out!

the lock is off the column so no problems there
he is just having trouble finding the right key shape
if there is any locksmiths on the forum who could help l am happy to pay postage to and from to get it fixed

Tamper proof screws are available from Coventrys fasteners or Blackwoods .
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

does any one know were you get blank keys from i have my lock at the locksmith now he can cut the new key but needs a blank to do so ?

Hey Lo maz,
I'm not the closest to you but I do have an original Nasco key for a Nasco gear lock that came with my fathers FB. I could ask a locksmith for a blank key that matches mine? Let me know via a PM if I can help.
