Hi can anyone help.

Does anyone have any pickies of what a v6 sump should look like when fitting it into an FB with HR front end and rear mount rack.

Any advice other than buying one already done would be great.

Cheers

I took some pics of mine and sent them to NoMad , I just had a look in photobucket but they arent there - they may be on my home computer. PM NoMad and see if he still has them , if not I will try and dig them out for you over the weekend.

i decided to make my own due to pat gardner wanting $400 exchange or something like that ... plus i mounted my engine myself so who knows if a bought one would even fit.

the sump only holds about 3.5 litres from memory, but that along with dual remote oil filters and engine oil cooler im hoping will give me a bit of extra capacity, i'm also going to fit a windage tray into the sump to help control the oil (as it needs to be really full.

only other thing to sort out is the dipstick, haven't gotten that far yet though.

also the oil pickup ... it was the easy bit :)

also on a side note, you will probably need a remote oil filter setup.

Thanks Sam,

That looks nice and close to everything. Not much room for error.
I'm going with a front mount rack from Rods Racks up here in QLD.
He is pretty cheap compared to Gardners.

Hey Sammy.
Make sure you got that 10mm clearance all round other wise the engineer will possibly knock ya back, and I tell ya it's a bitch when he says fix it after you get all the welds dressed nice and neat.

yeah im well aware of that :) when he came to check out the car he gave me a list of specs and requirements to meet, he said anything like that needs to be able to easily fit your finger between (eg. 10mm)
