Anyone recommend venetians

Hi guys
I'm just wondering if anyone knows if the venetian blinds offered for sale by Rare Spares are the same as those sold by Auto Cables?
If they're pretty much identical in quality/fit, I'd prefer to be able to pick them up from my local RS outlet, but would use AC and ship them to Brissie if the quality of theirs was better.
Anyone have any experiences they'd like to share/offer?
Cheers, Scott

Hi Scott,

I can't pass comment on quality/fit. Check out this thread and maybe speak with Smooth.

Hi Scott,

Got your order mate! Much appreciated, you will not be disappointed.
You order is being processed and you should have your order within the next 10 working days or sooner. Delivery is via courier and requires a signature upon delivery.

Cheers Stewart for the lead. :D

That's awesome. Looking forward to getting them in the car. Thanks for the quick reply.
I'm actually right in the middle of checking out everything else on your sites...your notes on each model made me want to listen to some tunes so I've popped on some early Motown to get into the swing of things.
Cheers, Scott

Hi Smooth
The venetians arrived safely.
Strange though...the courier just left them around the side of our house (the side we never go down - as luck would have it we had blocked drains and had to access them there, which meant I discoverd the box leaning up against the house. If it hadn't been for that, we might not have spotted them for ages).
Anyway, they look great and hopefully I'll have a chance to fit them on the weekend.
Cheers mate, Scott

Hi Scott,

Bloody couriers!!! The bastards are sub contractors and get SOOOOOO lazy. Really they require a signature and you were fully covered against loss had it not arrived. I will be having words with them about this one. I just had similar problems with Australia Post Sub Contractor in Canberra. "Just leaving stuff on door steps"

Anyway, I'm sure glad you received it and I'm sure once fitted you will be happy. Be sure to have at least two people to help when fitting. It is also a very good idea to get some "Ice Cream" container lids to protect the "C" pillar roof lining trim whilst fitting. Just stick them on with a little duct tape. Once fitted bend and align slats for even spacing and to stop rattles.

All the best, Smooth 8)
