Polishing brightwork

G'day guys just wondering what people use to polish up their chrome and stainless
I've used Briteshine for years, I think it does a good job
But it doesn't seem to last all that long
Main reason I'm asking is coz there's a guy at work who's been banging on about a product called Mirror Finish (made by a company of the same name) and he says it works a treat and protects aswell. Anyone had any experience with it?
And what do you guys use/recommend?
Cheers
Stu

I use this stuff.....Septone metal polish
http://www.septone.com.au/detail.asp?it ... page_num=1
Though like the stuff you use, it doesn't last long. You have to be careful with a lot of these metal polishes, especially the pasty ones. They can be quite aggresive on the metal, and leave fine scratches

Thanks Peter
I've still got a fair bit of Briteshine wadding left so I guess I'll just use that up
The Mirror Finish stuff's RRP is 30 bucks for quite a small bottle, the guy from
work said he paid $21 at a show
I might try the Septone next, or just stick with what I know

I think the Briteshine and Septone stuff are quite similar, anyway.
I do remember the Mirror Finish stuff from MotorEx last year. Good stuff, but not cheap.
I think someone here used toothpaste or something, and it came up looking quite good

I've found if you Briteshine the chrome first, then polish/wax the car including the chrome it lasts alot longer.

I was pretty impressed with POR Artesian metal polish- ( I think thats what its called)- not real cheap though. It can be used agressively- I have used it to get rid of surface rust on my bumpers and to shine up an alloy rocker cover - but it also leaves a good shine, I havent seen evidence of scratching but I havent tried it on stainless yet.

Little Pillows........and occassional sore finger.....
Haven't touched mine for over 12 months and they still look like new.
No marks, no rust, just shine....
Just need to put a polish or something over the top when finished.
