Fuel Tanks for my modified FJ panelvan what one to use?

Post by fxfjholden.com »

Hi all,

I thought I would extend my search to the fine people on FB EK as well. I am looking for a fuel tank for my FJ modified panelvan build. The spare wheel area has been removed and this is going to be the area where the fuel tank will be located.

I am looking at putting a tank in where you can also put the spare wheel in the tank. I saw this XY tank but from my calculations is that it is about 60mm to long.

I am putting a XB tank in my EK sedan as it is a good fit but am not near the car to measure that one up to see if it will fit in the FJ van.

I was wondering does anyone have any ideas for what tank I could possibly use. I want one that has the spare wheel holder in the tank so when it is in the car the van floor will cover the tank and spare wheel. I will be running at least a 15 inch wheel so that would also have to fit in the spare wheel area.

If anyone has any ideas and could get some measurements I would be grateful.

Thanks

Jason

have you considered running on straight gas? plenty of different tanks available for it...

apart from that, are the stainless ones being built out of Queensland for ealry holdens might be a winner
