Ladies and Gents,

As promised, attached below is my first-pass at an FB/EK Warmaride guide (with thanks to Aust(mod) for working out how to post documents):

As the document says, it aims to provide some information regarding the NASCO Warmaride heaters fitted to FB and EK Holdens. It contains
historical information, such as which heaters were advertised for different model Holdens,
practical information on identification, disassembly and reassembly of FB and EK Warmarides, and
guidance on replacement parts and overhaul techniques.
It contains answers to many of the questions that seem to come up every winter on most of the early Holden forums:
“Where do I connect the heater hoses to?”
“Where can I get demister ducting from?”
“Is anyone making aftermarket demister nozzles?”
“My heater tap is dribbling hot water… can I replace it?”

The information is free for anyone to use as they see fit. I'm no Warmaride guru - if I've got it wrong, please let me know and I'll update the document.

Great effort on this article.congrats.Question,have u or any body else,got a picture on how the EK fresh air warmaride heater vents connect to the dash controls,i have a heater with the extra flaps.but cant work out how they connect up. HELP PLEASE

I've really struggled with the airside connections. There is a rod listed in the Master Parts Cattledog (I have two on the bench, and drew a picture of it in the document), and I know it won't operate the waterside (I've tried both the manual and thermostatic taps - both too far offset to the driver's side to operate by a straight rod). I suspect the rod is for the airside, but have not been able to get anyone to take a picture of an installed one for me.

The only person I know who has one installed is SunnyTim in his Savell Brothers SuperNasco Sedan - he may be able to shed some more light.
