Hi all,

I was pretty sure I saw a sticky or post for removal of the station sedan badge on the tail gate but can't find it now. Can someone point me in the right direction or give any tips if I was imagining things?

Just prise it off VERY carefully. According ot the good old shop manual there are 4 pins which insert into clips similar to boot and bonnet HOLDEN letters, so rest assured it wouldn't be hard to break the pins off-rendering your badge nearly useless(could always stick it on i guess).
I use a thin screwdriver or paint scraper under the edge of badges (mask surrounding paint first) and slowly move along the length of the badge lifting only a tiny bit at a time.
Eg. lift on corner 1 or 2mm, then go along 1cm and lift that part by the same, keep repeating and hopefuly you'll get it in one piece.

I wouldn't do that, that way you definitely won't have a useable badge when the car returns!

good luck, if you're real careful you shouldn't have any dramas. Just don't try and pry one side completely out before the other-that's how i normally break them

No broken pins. Unfortunately can't say the same for the bonnet lettering. Found two already had one pin busted and I broke one myself.

If anyone is in the same boat or is looking for a chromer for die cast stuff I just dropped mine at Die Cast Wizard at Narangba, Qld.

He can repair broken pins etc and I had a look at some of his work in progress and was very impressed. He doesn't rush his jobs though and I'm on a 5 week wait list.
