the ebay extractors are probably the cheapest you'd get unless you made them yourself. and let's face it...on a grey...what's the difference

I have a set just like them on the wagon, they do the job

Stewart, they're similar to the set that Thommo has on his FB, and we both know how well that car drives!

thanks guys. Hopefully on my grey they will make a difference Jimmy Too right Andrew. I do that set of speco headers but they need a ton of work.

They look identical to mine.
Mine are 'Lukey', I dont know if they still make them though.

if it's the same guy that does the swap meets i've heard they're as best as possable a copy of lukey pipes

what's wrong with yor speco headers, wouldn't it be worth the effort to fix them up

someones butchered them by cutting off the bottom flange...

spose that makes it kinda hard, could the flange areas from grey or red manifolds be welded on on know cast welding isn't exactly easy or that successfull

I used these extractors because the headers were too expensive, I recon the headers would be a but quieter in the engine bay, Trev .

Hey Stew, it would be well worth investigating if flanges could be welded onto those Speco headers. I see Jack Myers header more frequently advertised than I do those.

yeah that idea of sutting up some grey/red headers for the flages had crosse dmy mind...but I've read that welding cast is pretty tricky.

Jury is still out. I think it's going to come down to the $s and the messing around...those extractors for $170 look mighty attractive...

Maybe I'm getting too old for a noisy engine .

If welding cast is tricky, get an expert to do it properly .

I thought the extractors were too cheep to pass up .

I've not been involved with grey motors for years boys so I'm a little rusty.

Is there much difference in performance on a grey by putting extractors on?

I used to have an Ek back in '83 that had a slightly larger carb and grey motor headers and it went pretty good.

I run these on my FB, Rod who makes them has been making headers for years under a different name, which I don't remember.
He had a buisiness fallout and went out on his own and kept all his patterns.
