My FB Van Project

I finally got off my arse and made a start on my van today. I had some other stuff to get sandblasted for customers so I stripped the van out and had it done also. Its a sad sight at the moment. Basically the whole bottom 6 inches of the car is gone. The only good thing is the hanging panels (and the blaster f####d the bonnet). I guess Ill just start at one end and end up eventually at the other. Amazingly the ute that I cut up for the inner and outer sills and dash section had no rust at all so at least that part of the rust problem is dealt with. I just picked up an EK sedan with minimal rust in the floor so I should be able to get all the floor sections I need.
Maybe I should just go and buy that one on Ebay for $46000.

Surely he must be selling 3 or 4 of them off the one listing.
Either that or his drug lab has blown up and he is desperate for money

Its amazing how some things survive and others dont. Ive had this EK back cut section for over ten years sitting in my paddock full of leaves and water. yesterday I dragged it out and there is no rust at all in the floor section where the back seat would be. On Wed Ill start stripping out the EK sedan I picked up and assess the floor in it to see if its usable. The sandblaster is coming back on Saturday to finish the last of the parts.
One thing for sure the car will have no rust at all and all the replacement panels should be factory holden on the original spotwelds. A truly reverse engineered car.
Ill get it done.
