Undo the bolts holing them on? unless you mean something else? Trev .

but how to undo the bottom bolt that bolts onto firewall, looks hard to get at...?

A long extension on your socket should do it, Trev .

Uni joint on and extension is what I use.... Go easy if using extra leverage, you may snap the head off the bolt
