hi all,
just about to fit the red six in the ek.
now i have a question,
if im using a HR front end, with the HR steering, then wouldnt i be able to use a HR sump.
do i really need the EH sump.
what about the early toranas with the pickup at the rear of the motor.
what else can i use.
cheers dan

Hi Dan, the EH sump is used because the engine is set back as far as it can go on the cross member, I have tried the Torana sump but needs the double step down (like the EH sump).
You could always modify the Torana one, Trev 8) .

like trev said you will notice a HR front in stock form has the engine mounts on the front of the cross member when used in an EK the mounts need to be relocated to the rear there goes the HR sump, i did have one with a H/KTG sump used but it was there when i bought it so not sure if it was straight forward
the amount of early holdens i've been around if there was another sump to use i'de imagine i'de have seen it and i've only ever seen the 2, EH and the H/KTG

I like the part " would be good on a tough streeter ", as if the sump will make it tough :?
