Hi all, I have a question on what is the original wood / Masonite material use for the tray floor. My ute came with this new tray floor,

but i was told the original disintegrated on trying to remove it.

So my quuestion is?

Is the factory original board just straight Masonite with no grooves, or like the once pictured above??

look forward to your replies

Sam,

I've just picked up a van that still has its original cargo floor in it, I guess the utes would be the same ??.

If so,

It is 1/2 inch thick.

3 ply construction consisting of top layer of 1/4 inch masonite glued to 2 ply's of 1/8th inch thick each plywood.

Doesn't have grooves in it like your pic and is painted in a tan/brown colour with 6 x 1/8th inch x 1 inch flat bar metal strips to screw it down via counter sunk single slot screws.

The metal strips are painted the same brown as the wood.

Hope that helps,
