Back into it today, giving it every chance to be the best it can be- put some foam between the edge of the fan housing and the core - bolted it all back together and kicked it in the guts - got up to 85 and the fan kicked in - worked like a bought one ImageImage plenty of air being pushed through the core now , way more than the 14” jobbie that’s now in the bin ImageImageImageImage

Well , after having been left high and dry by the bloke who was doing the tuning on this thing I have found another fella who is willing to give it a go - the first guy has been MIA since Christmas and I finally got hold of him 3 or 4 weeks ago and he basically told me to piss off and find someone else to tune it

Just got off the phone with another bloke and he is willing to give it a go so fingers crossed

Anyway good luck with take 2.

Well it’s FINALLY tuned and ready to party 🥳
Took it down to the timer in Bunbury yesterday, he reckons it would be far better with a Haltech computer in it rather than the EMS but it’s done now and will give it some time and see how it behaves.
Was a little disappointed with the horsepower number- I was hoping for 300/300 flywheel horsepower/torque , ended up with about 240 hp but was happy with the torque - it’s around 375 which is a nice bonus 😎👍 The blue lines on the pic below is what it was making at the start of the day, the red line is the final pull.

Thanks Clay on the heads up on how to post pics without Tapatalk

It’s only making about 8lb of boost which is probably hurting the hp numbers

Hi Blacky I think it is MACE that make the pulleys, I look at them when I had the L67 Monaro you can get up to 20 psi by changing pulleys

Yeah you can - I will have to check what the ramifications are with upping the boost regarding the tune - the bloke I bought the kit from told me there was 2 different sized pulleys available from him and we agreed to start with the bigger one - he stopped answering his phone a couple of years back, he has probably died of old age by now its taken me so long to get this thing going ...... :esad:
