Mr Jagger,
The brakes are a good set up. Aluminium callipers can flex but thats with hard core braking and only wears the pad uneven.
Nothing to worry about on a streeter. 14 inch wheels HQ etc should fit if its got that stud pattern. Dual circuit boosted and matched rear cylinders will stop the old girl no problem at all. Oh and if it has HQ type spindles it will lower the front about 1 inch from memory and retain nice suspension travel.
