Ah, my mates at Service NSW.
1. Don't have a receipt? Go get one.
2. Oh, you have a stat dec? We don't like your stat dec. Rewrite it (content didn't change one iota

). Then wait till we can serve you again.
3. You'll have to print that out. Heres a computer. Make yourself a gmail email account, log in to it, print it. Then wait till we can serve you again.
4. The Engineers report states the subframe number, but the blueslip states the firewall plate. No, we won't go outside and look at the car. Go get another blueslip or engineers report.
5. You're back? We don't like your greenslip... there is a one digit typo on the VIN. Get your insurer to reissue a new greenslip. Then wait till we can serve you again.
6. You'll need to print that greenslip. Back to the computers please. Then wait till we can serve you again.
7. Your engine number is showing as stolen back in the 80's. Do not leave the building while we contact NSW Police.
8. Sorry about the long wait. There was an error in our data, and NSW Police have confirmed the engine is really listed as recovered.
Five hours all up to register the vehicle.
TMR Queensland was a breeze. No Queensland drivers licence, no fixed Queensland address for phone/power bills, vehicle was on club plates, need to transfer into my name on full rego. In and out of there in 30 minutes, and very friendly.
Cheers,
Harv

Wow, my hour yesterday was easy peasy in comparison Harv

. My drama on this day was about a missing page of the green slip. Because it was a chassis number and not a VIN, the green slip could not go into RMS's computer system straight from insurer as is normally the case. So, even though I had the email with the whole thing on my phone, there was no way he could just read it and type the numbers. And since Covid, they don't have the little printer kiosks working that are normally available to customers. So had to leave and go to nearby post office print it out and come back. Then it was plain sailing.
The first attempt was about the receipt being an emailed copy that needed to be an original, then Australia Post helped by taking 8 days to deliver an Express Post envelope from Bungendore to Sydney- normally an overnighter.
I must admit, my experiences with Service NSW have been much happier than before when they were RTA. Staff then were just trained to be awful

.

Got my wheels aligned this morning. Camber and caster spot on. Front wheels out of line with rear wheels by about 5 inches. No wonder it was a bit scary. Much better now it's back on spec.
Hub caps back on, unblock a grease nipple, trip to a local winery for Friday lunch this week and then going to put her up for sale.

For the wheels to be out of line I assume the front and rear axles are either not parallel or they are offset. If so how did you remedy please Brett?
