Yes Drew they were. All pipes on Wilma are double.

The tightarse tube straightener is made using a couple of bits of SHS and 5 sliding door wheels from Bunnings

I used to think I was a fuss pot, but you guys with your straighteners!
By hand is more than adequate me thinks

I thought the same when I got the tube in straight lengths from the brake shop. Cheaper source had it in rolls which were easier to transport, but hard to get really straight.

Bend tool does 1/4”, 5/16” & 3/8” also have bending springs too.

Good day today. Replaced front seal yesterday and tapped on new modern style balancer. Left it overnight to make sure silicon around seal was cured and tried it this morning. No leaks.
Distributor has been bothering me - it was too close to sidecover (you can see in previous photo some way back) so popped it out and moved it a tooth. Much better now with vacuum advance facing forward and full range of adjustment available. Static timing only, but it purrs like a kitten now. Also rechecked rockers using bolts on balancer and a bar to turn motor over. Big advantage of new balancer, those bolt holes.
I can't turn motor effectively with fan - it's just too tight.
One happy camper, in lockdown.
