When are you going to fit up the rear lights and bar.
Would be good to see some 3/4 rear shots

Need to locate some rear bumper bolts.. the ones that go through the quarter... kinda long ones..
Also need to drill the holes through the quarter cause there were rust repair panels put on.. anyone have any hints/tips/tricks?
Yeah i cant wait to put the chrome back on... its all been re-done so its super shiny...!

Good quality masking tape will help, but remove slowly.

You could use clear contact as well. Mark the positions with a fine felt pen and leave the contact there, save the painted areas where the bar brackets bolt onto the body work.

Good tip.

If you're worried about the tape, just use 3M 700 Adhesive Solvent aerosol to remove the adhesive. Still haven't met a tape that is still sticky 20 seconds after applying this. It wipes clean with zero residue.

A few updates for everyone.........
Dad has spent the last 6 weeks doing all the wiring, this included door poppers, boot poppers, air bag stuff, stereo, switches, gauges, lights here and there.... he has done an awesome job...
All front chrome on, that grill is just sitting there at the moment but you get the idea... im pretty pleased with how the emblem came up...

Image
Got all the wheels sandblasted and had them 2-packed in black, bought some chrome nuts and put the whitewalls on... had these big chrome bullets made up to push through the centre of the wheel but having trouble with clearances..
Image
Put the taillights and rear bumper on....
Image
Dad also got really handy with the plywood and boxed in the boot.. we decided just give it a sand and lacquer as i feel the woodgrain is nice to break up all the paint and chrome... Has a pull up door.. And the best bit is the air fitting at the top-right of the perspex window... which means i can pump up my tyres whenever i want...!
Image
Had a strip of stainless polished up and laser cut to fit all the gauges..
3 Mooneyes (Temp, Amp and Volts) and the 2 airbag gauges...
Image
So yes, there has been some progress.....
All wiring is complete now, on to fitting the glass and rubbers.......
Cheers, Paul
