Tim, yes!
All I had to do is supply a big enough sample of the pattern so it covers the (pattern) changes over the length from start to finish.
It hurt to cut up what material I had not knowing that I would get anything back but I guess I had to take the risk as I needed more fleck.
All the material is sold on the roll. The headlining is getting manufactured to the pattern of the old one sent and will be supplied ready to fit. Door trims will be manufactured as per my old samples and to new door cards that I sent over there. All fleck and red vinyl will be supplied by the yard as requested.
I'm not getting myself ahead on this till I see what comes back. Its looking good so far.

Hi Goats,
I guess it would be up to the manufacturer. As I did, you'd have to send off some samples to see if they can match them. I'm cautious about referring this mob I'm using till I get mine back. I'm happy to be the guinea pig for this in the hope that it works out for myself and others down the track that need original trim. As most can testify, trim is the one other major thing that is non existent for our cars (apart from limited NOS if you can find it). Potentially it can be the difference between a well finished build or a bad one if your going for originality. I've been chasing this for a few years now so a couple more months is nothing. I'll definitely let everyone know more details when mine returns.
Cheers.

I think there would be quite a few people interested, and waiting to see your trim Craig.
Cheers Rob

A little progress today, finally finished the seats in preparation for the re-trimming.
I have to say it was a bastard of a job and took well longer than I thought but worth it. I'm now wondering if anyone has had a seat foam packed in around the spring work. I'm thinking this may help a lot with support in the seat and prevent further spring breakages.

I think my trimmer packs foam around the springs. I'll be seeing him next week and ask for you.

Springs will always break and warp out of shape, the best thing I have seen for these style seats is to have 2 or 3 zig-zag tie wires going across the seat. Not sure if this is a factory thing or not because I have only seen it once or twice, you just need some of the zig-zag wire that is used in the seat covers and then hog-ring them to the base springs to spread the load.

A little progress this week. Have managed to fit up all the stainless bling bar one piece that I'm still chasing. If anyone could help out with one it would be a bonus.

At the moment I'm still waiting for the headlining as its holding things up as I want to get the windscreens in. Next job is to clean up the inside of the roof and paint and line with some dynamat. After that will be the fun job with door seals and door strikers.
Other stuff on the go is the head which is getting machine work, flow test and port matching for the weber manifold and Jack Myers Headers. Also getting the glass work polished this week as well.

Well I've finally received my headlining back from the states.
I'm still at work but have been sent some pics from home and by all accounts its a spot on match! The star pattern is hard to pick in the pictures but it matches up to the material on the old sunvisors. The off grey color is also a good match.
Busting to get home to have a look. Cant wait for the rest of the trim now!!!
I'll post some pics of the headlining as soon as its fitted. Stay tuned!

Very nice! For mine I went with the ones made by Supertrim here in Vic. They look very similar.
