I just shook the blood off and got back to it ,It needs something to clog to right
On a brighter note ,two days later I rubbed a peice of hardwood through it and got a splinter in there .
So the ute is hangin from the ceiling and Ive measured up the plating I need to have folded .
I thought Id run the wire brush over wherever I was going to be welding ...and although the sills had no rust it was just knocking at the door from the other side and pitted through ,great, .
So the utes hangin from the rafters and Ive measured up some new inner sills that Ill have folded .
It took me a long while to decide exactly which way Id go about it and Ive decided if I remove the old inner sills that can still be repaired because the holes are below the circle pressings ,I can then replace them with flat sheet and easily save them ,Ill roll a swage roll down the length of the flat high enough to hide where the toyota floorpan/inner sill meets.
The sill is no longer a structural peice because the monocoque design is replaced with the chassis and Im also welding extra plating to the top so its no prob .
The prob is coughing up $70 to have 6 folds and 3 cuts on a 1.6m sheet $*#@ rip offs ,I mean smart business men

$70 for the lot sounds allright to me

that's a scarey part of these cars what can look good on the outside usually changes with a bit of hard perswaysion in the way of wire wheels and sandblasting

Update , Can-O-worms is the lower section of a 60-62 holden , the area below the door from guard to guard .
Didnt know the ute has an extra strengthening inner panel in there
And its a great spot to find things , Sockets ,washers ,Zincalume tin ,bolts ,guard bolts ..ha! and rust ...
Got my steel cut and folded for nothing when a mate rang me to see if I wanted a job and he had a folder and guillotine

happy happy.
