Re: FB Standard Wagon
First look with the bonnet on.
Alignment is a bit dodgey but I can get it better.
Bonnet should come off to fit the engine anyways I guess

Re: FB Standard Wagon
Looks pretty good in the photo drew. Awesome infact! Mine had a slight twist in it relative to the body. It is original bonnet, but had a slight clip to front guard ds which moved things around a bit.
Bonnet off for engine and box.

Re: FB Standard Wagon
Nothing like a good head job !!!
This is the fun part, putting it all together then running it in and adjusting, I love it !!
The only thing I hate, and more so the grey engine is the rear main seal leaks, drove me crazy hence the chev.
Yeah with builds like these you need to take the time and not rush, believe me I know !!

Nice Drew,
So for the record what has been done to that head. Can I see double valve springs and bigger valves?

I’ll definitely be taking my time building it, that’s why I know I won’t be ready for nationals.EK283 wrote: Tue Apr 19, 2022 10:53 am Nothing like a good head job !!!

Not 100% sure what’s has exactly been done but it’s a HSD head so they go over from top to bottom.
What I do know is.
Hot tanked and crack tested
Modern valve stem seals
New springs, retainers and big valves
Ported to their own specs
Decked to hell, definitely no thumb print to be seen
Should be a good head for the combo I’m building
