Dave are these my old tripples ,
if so they look sweet.
Yeah fb they are the ones I got off you. I just cleaned them out. Didn't even put kits in them. after I got it running I found one was flooding up. It turned out the flair bowl breather was blocked. After that the boat just flew.

Thanks stewart. I picked this boat up today from a deceased estate.
The boat was built in 1958 by goodlear speedcraft .
The repco head was purchased new from repco and the engine was prepared by her owner.
it is dry sumped and fresh water cooled.
It raced up in northern nsw until being retired sometime in the late sixties.
Included also is all the paperwork from repco for the head with a letter from the boss who worked with jack brabham.
Period pics and home movies of the boat racing, the family skiing. Even the boat being picked up from goodlear and the new repco on a stand.
I can wait to get her running again and back on the water.

Thanks Mick. I cant believe my luck. I got a call out of the blue last week from this guy. "Ive got my dads boat. Its got an old holden engine in it. Are you interested." I couldnt believe it when I saw what it had in it.
The sad part about all this is ten years ago I bought a record breaking hydroplane that was repco powered. Its still holds the 155 record at 106mph.
The guy I bought it off kept the engine with Mc Gee injection. All that time I have been ringing him to buy the engine. He had it in his head to put it in an FC with Lucas timed injection. Last year I called in his place and the engine is still hanging from the block and tackle that we used to get it out of the boat.
6 months ago I gave up on ever getting an engine for it so I sold it.
Im going to chase the guy up and see if I can buy it the boat back.

Mick don't mean to sound mean but the cockpit is really tight. You won't fit in it.
I have a flathead f o r d v 8 powered early 50s raceboat project.
The engine runs. The hull needs a full resto and it sits on a period trailer with 38 f o r d wheels. $ 2750
