Nice work NoMAD. Can't wait to see progress in the boot. Still undecided on whether to put the FB tank I have into the boot or not? The only thing holding me back is I'm not sure how I go with rego in Vic and how exactly I would go about hooking it up and making it work (beginner here)

Cheers Guys,
There not 100% perfect but they do the job and no one will notice them anyway, besides better than only having half of one!
The old mans got Monday off work, so hopefully might be able to go hunting round a few wreckers for a good XB tank, since the first place we went to wasn't open (despite saying it was)
Cheers

Just noticed I wrote "FB tank" instead of XB tank a couple o' posts back
I'll get in before everyone else. May my armpits be infested by the young of a thousand fleas. I promise it won't happen again

What would you have to change on these tanks to make them EFI compatible? Looking good

Note sure exactly, however they have 4 tubes whihc i believe are vapours to be transfered to the charcoal cannister for polution control in the fords, you may be able to workd something with those...
however more pics...its good having a day off....
Top of the Tank cleaned (it doesnt look like it but a big difference)
Bottom of the Tank cleaned
New Holden - Volvo Diff Saddles - Extra bit of Surface Area should work a treat!
Saddle Up Close
& finnaly got the Leaf saddles welded to the Diff Tubes
Next is to clean up the diff fully & get it painted, parts for it Cad plated for survivabillity, (plus all the spring shackles are made out of stainless) and get it back in the car to stay for Good...hopefully maybe 2-3 weeks for all that, the finish the tank and get that in...all seems so easy
Cheers

blue ute,
these guys did my plating...
http://www.aaep.com.au/
just up from Armadale Auto Parts...thought i would give them ago
Yeah quality & Finish appears to be quite good...i just went in with a tub full of bits, some needing paint stripping & they gave me a cash price...which seemed fair to me since most places have a minimum charge...we will see how they are over time but from first impression's i would go back.
all though there website does say the can chrome plate 'rocket' covers
Cheers

I had a chance to see this car in the flesh last weekend. It looks even better than in these pictures.
