Can do better?
Get involved with the club, get on the committie and help us, You may even understand WHY we propose to do what we do...
Dont stand behind an on-line forum name and sling mud, It doesnt help anybody..
Thanks.

What a load of crap, getting into a bull shit discussion about Nationals that aren't going to be until 2011 and the final say is up to the host club to decide on where it's held!!!

spinner i agree but some in our club want to hold it south so more people from down south attend i see the point but would like to see it held in qld but i also see the other side would be nice to do qld but there are other things to ponder we will wait to next meeting for the nats committee would you like to join us and help us out would be most helpful the more members that help the better our club runs . it is a long drive from vic and sa and nt but some of you still went to bendigo so so i dont see why we cant hold it in qld but maybe we need to discuss further it is still along way off but we would like to be ready i know what we want to do to provide a good nats for all

I agree with you Reidy. It is a load of bunk that this dicussion has to be happening. But it is mainly because there is a bit of a split as to where it should be held. Richard thought that the best thing was to do a poll and see how far people were willing to travel.
At the end of the day it is up to the committee to make the decision, you are right on that. But if the 'committee' are too blinded to see that their decision is a foolish one, and has not taken into account their own members opinions, should it not be up to the public to make it known that there is opposition to their decision???
The sad thing is that good members will vote with their feet, and the club will struggle.....
But then it will be their decision.....wont it??

Like I have said before, we live as far south of South Australia that you can get, we travel. If you are a true nationals enthusiast YOU WILL travel to anywhere, surely this is part of the adventure. We know at each nationals where the next one will be so there is 12 months to book holidays, and save. I am sure the Queensland club are more than capable of selecting a suitable place. We will be there (God willing) wherever it is.
Lets focus on Narrandera for now eh!
cheers

i would hope that people don't vote with there feet it is a pitty that you are all taking this so seriously it is just a pole on a public forum it will have no influence on the out come of our discussion when the committee next meets which will be after the school holidays when some of our members get back
the numbers so far are a good indication that only 20 people would show up to the qld nats that would not be fair to others who do not wish to come this far
every one just chill and breath deep and count to ten you will feel better

I cant see what all the fuss is about - from memory your last two have been at Yamba and Tenterfield ? Both of which are only a copuple of hours from the border - whats another couple of hours ??
We used to travel a 1200km round trip to go to a show as a matter of course when we lived in Kalgoorlie.
Unless you plan to hold it in Weipa or something

Richard, I find it odd then why the poll was put up in the first place... surely to gain an insight as to how far people will travel for a nationals. And you are saing that this poll has no bearing on what the committee will decide upon?? i say that it will and has already had a bearing on their decision. I feel that the decision has more or less been made, end of story....
I'll take the chill pill and leave you all to it....Good Luck
