Yes Greg, I will be a very happy chappie. Still a bit to go though. Rust repair behind passenger side tail light then stitch up rear guard section a replacement tray support and an awful mess underneath the front top of the ute tub/ behind back window. Not sure what is going on there, but it will be painful 'cause I have to do it from underneath while lying on the tray...
Spent the day stripping paint so it is all shiny and metallic looking now.

Bare metal looks nice. Lots of historic holes previously filled and needed to be filled prior to paint. ImageImage

You going to fill them all up with the mig and start with a clean slate I presume Brett. I left the lift a dot post holes in mine and afterward rather wished I had filled them, due to them being too flogged out to use the self tapping threaded posts supplied with the cover I bought.

Closing in on passenger side rear quarter rust. Much harder job without donor pieces.

Final patch going on. Used my flanging tool again on this one. Left the inner guard piece on to replace the rusted remnant. Lots to line-up. Pics of progress.

So you do have a donor piece then. Good luck keeping it all straight. Bloody commercial rear quarters.

Pretty much only pieces I have not been able to scrounge off the FC and old rusty FB ute were the floor pans.

I agree Clay, straight is always an issue with this work. If panels warp too much, my preferred solution is to cut the weld open and have another go. Much easier than trying to tap things straight without releasIng the tension of the problematic join. You may remember I did that on a rear quarter patch panel on Wilma. Worked out fine.

Yes I’ve thought about doing similar. I remember that area rear of the fuel filler being fun on my ute, getting it flat, and I didn’t have to weld it, just waves insitu.

Hi Sam. When motor comes back, perhaps you and I could spend a bit of time putting front end on???😁
