I have the same experience as Scott. Makes sense when you consider that the arc is a column of ions, so it'll get bent out of shape by external magnetic fields. I use masking tape instead.

Maybe it depends on the direction of the magnetism. My little discs are pretty focussed on the end and not much at all on the sides. Anyway, whatever works for your technique is all that counts.

Rust converter on yesterdays toil. Rust repairs for tray floor underway. Stirrups yet to be made for floor support, using those little square cut-outs for that job.
Must be 100% humidity- yuk.

Smoko as I tap this in. Raisin toast and coffee.
Early start today as Cert. Eng. organised to come at 7am this morning to go through a list of things that I wanted clarity/approval on so I could keep going.
He was happy with repairs and brake booster changes and seat adaptors. Couldn't believe how much it had changed since he saw it last.
Today's job is to close in the rear quarter where I have been working the last few days. Progress shown in the attached photos. Should be stitched up by afternoon tea
