I’m having so much fun Blacky, more than any other build.

It’s slow to shift, hard to stop, smelly, a bit too firm for shitty, inner Sydney roads and pretty droney at 60-70kmh... but still somehow just perfect. Miles of smiles.

Nothing like driving with no rego and insurance, keeps the heart rate up I must admit

Even with plates on it, I’m still just waiting to for them flashing red & blue lights on account of the no seatbelt situation. Watch this space...

Stance is actually alright! I want the rear lower, but I’m not offended by the current rake at all. Oh and the diff doesn’t seem to be making any noise. Under load, cruising or on the overrun it’s all quiet. I think I got lucky there! Thanks again for your generous donation.

I’ll come visit as a part of the motor run-in, gotta iron out a few bugs first. Image

Thanks Andrew, wouldn’t have happened so easily without all your advice, from beginning to end. I’ll pay you a visit too over summer to say gday.

It sure was good to give it some for the first time! Cheers. Now that it’s passed inspection, it’s time to get it a little closer to Leo’s ride height methinks Image

Thanks Nathan! I’ve gone full rego because i couldn’t stand the limitation of classic rego here in NSW. Only being allowed to drive it twice a week just will not do.

Hope you’re enjoying your newly registered thongslapper EK over there! Such a tidy ride, kudos to you too.

I wouldn’t say a million bucks myself hahaha... maybe knock two zeroes of that and you’d be about right Image

Thanks for all your help and encouragement Neil! Don’t be jealous - yours will be smooth, powerful, quiet, easy to stop and steer... and the paint isn’t sandpaper like mine haha
It will be well worth the wait!

Who knows I might follow suit as soon as I get sick of Leroy’s stick setup. Hey’s so rough that I won’t feel bad about hot rodding him...

Cheers J

Howdy Joe,

Pleased to see that Leroy is officially good for the road with the plates. Well done for getting it back on the road, you've got yourself a very tidy ute that's sure to grab attention on the road! Hope you get plenty of trouble free miles.

Looking at the inspection sheet, does Leroy have the rare factory option "Big Block Grey" as the motor size shows 225?
What did you end up sticking the tailgate badge on with? Those pressure pack rattle cans that promise bright chrome really only give you silver, I know I got sucked in to buy one.

Regards
Stephen
