It will go to zero once it's connected up. Getting the rev counter callibrated is the hard bit. You will need another rev counter to check against as you go. There are an infinite amount of combinations to use, not like the old switch for 4,6 or 8 cyls. It will keep you busy. The speedo is very accurate and easy to fit and wire up.

Thanks Brett I came across the tacho issue when I was doing the conversion on my FC Sedan the commodore signal pick up from the alternator from memory and is weird 5 square signal or something  , can't remember, anyway I can get a converter I believe that goes into the signal supply wire that converts the signal, I'm still along way off of there at the moment.

Hey Greg it isn't the adapters that are the problem it is the callipers, where I have ground the calliper in the picture is to flatten the mounting area and so that when it mounts to the stub axle it mounts flat to the mounting face of the stub and doesn't kick it over to jam on the rotor.

I'll take a photo of the other calliper to show what I mean

Hi Greg see the photo of the calliper that I haven't ground, you can see the casting is close to the mounting holes.

Because the flange of the drop spindle where the calliper mounts is so different (larger) that you need to give the calliper the clearance otherwise the mount holes don't match up and the calliper fowls on the rotor.

Finally got the brake upgrade sorted after some modification which you have to do anyway to get the VT callipers to fit the drop spindles.
The rotors are VT V6 but I have drilled them out to 14mm for the studs because the rear is VE which are 14mm and VT is 12mm so I wanted to have same studs front and back.
Just need springs and I can put the front suspension together.
