What engine management are you using Greg?

Did a small amount this weekend as was at the races with the mates EH. Why do we do it ? Broken gear box Sat so changed it then the 179 split the bore, arghhhhhh !

Anyway, got these nice polished overflow tanks so one is for the radiator and the other will be for the windscreen washers. Yeah yeah I know got to clean the stain on the radiator.

I am using a Holley pro4 injection, its outdated as I've had it for years but initial run shows promise. Its a analog system that measures throttle position and delivers fuel in relation to that. It has six adjustments, idle low speed mid throttle etc etc.

Cool Greg....... more shiny bits Looking at your radiator top hose, is that a filter you have there? Are you expecting some gunk to be circulating early in the running?

Yes mate its a tefba filter, and the other bit near the motor is a temp sensor for the electric fans.

I run these filters on all my cars because Im always surprised at what crap floats out from the inside of a motor. I am a tight ass as well and hate paying for radiator cleans !!!

Prevention is better than cure !

So I have been chipping away doing all the little crap. Got 7 of my re chromed die cast pieces back and blew a gasket !!! Shit work from a company that has had them for nearly 9 months (separate company that did my bumper bars.) Sanding marks and polishing that has more waves than Bondi beach. So after going off my brain they agreed to do them again 5 pieces are back for a second go.
What I have learnt with the conversation the chrome itself is piss easy to do but the prep underneath is the key. So the guy says to me if we polish and we go through the basecoat in this case the copper we have to start again, I simply said you're gunna have to !!!!!!!
We will see.

So the little time consuming jobs are getting done, handbrake so I can drive it a bit with a second stopping mechanism just in case !
Horns from a high tech Astra, fit just right where the old front end tongue used to bolt to. Not much of an EK left underneath !!!!

Very nice indeed - I had a similar experience with the cast chrome - came back with more waves than Bondi at high tide - unfortunately once they over prep them they are stuffed so hope they haven't gone too far on yours - clowns destroyed a bonnet bar and hood bird of mine - gone to god or good for a rat rod at best.

Maybe looking at it wrong but are your horns pointed forward? wont that be a dust/water trap issue?

Looking good under there Greg! Love the remote oil filter access, all the tidy plumbing and the handbrake cable setup - neat pulley wheels

When we wrecked the Storm Ute that donated its LS drivetrain for my bros Impala, I yanked the alarm horn that was hiding up under a wheel well. I knew it might come in handy... It found a home in Leroy when it was found his horns were rusty and too far gone to bother with.

Sounds a bit comical, but does the job well!
