Well this is a turnup for the books - went to buy some oil and they didn’t have any - got home thought I would try it again and it’s fine - 15-20PSI at idle …..
Buggered if I know…… hoping the relief valve isn’t sticky

How the hell was it achieving nearly 60psi? I'm pretty sure a solid relief won't even get it this far. Somethings a bit fishy mate.

As Clay said mate , it would have to be the gauge - it only had that sort of pressure on the run down to Augusta and back the other week - usually it hovers in the low 40’s

Tonight I got the phone holder mounted up - made a couple of plates out of leftover bits that didn’t look like an aerial bracket. Removed the ash tray and knocked up one for each side of the hole, welded a bolt onto the bottom one and used the top one to sandwich the dash then cut the bum out of the suction cup mount, drill a hole through the guts of it and bolt it down
Mounted up the aerial , will run the cable into the cab tomorrow night when it’s up on the hoist again - taking her in for a wheel alignment tomorrow then it’s up on the hoist to fit this stuff and the rear sway bar I bought from Brett if the mounting brackets turn up -

while it sounds technical it doesn't look like your usual work, i'm surprised you didn't reshape where the suction cup was into the correct shape to go into the ashtray area then somehow fold down so the lid can close when not in use

I was thinking about it

see how it goes and will maybe do a Mk2 after trialing this version next weekend on our club run.
Took the ute down for its wheel alignment today, got a call half an hour after I dropped it off and they cant do it

the excuse was it doesn't fit on their machine, I expect the truth is that nobody in the shop knows how to adjust a king pin front end .......
Having a night off tonight , beers after work has made me lazy

Blacky,
I reckon you have exhausted all the options available for these utes

Not in the ‘puter was the reason I got, so did my own.
King pin front all you can do is give as much caster and camber as possible, then set the toe in to about 2mm. Balljoint isn’t much different.

HD HR pitman arms are not that easy to find. The HD HR draglink is a no brainer upgrade to kingpin front. Good score.

I bought all those bits from Brett, the sway bar rocked up on Tuesday, the box with the steering box, steering gear and sway bar brackets turned up today - not bad seeing as they all left Bungendore together .......
Good progress tonight , removed the fan shroud, replaced the radiator hoses, the engine mounts and the speedo corrector box then started in on the sway bar mount, got it all done barring drilling the holes through the outside of the rails for the brackets to bolt on - didn't want to fire the compressor up at 10 PM to spark up the angle drill - those things are NOISY....
