Next pic should be taken by your mate in your missus car Malcom - about 35klm should get a nice pic on the street .
Or even better a cop car behind you with the lights blazing.

Well, it was smiles all round today as I got a permit and went driving.

goes good too.
But at the end of the day we still have a couple of things to sort out

Firstly after driving it around for a while, the auto changes back to 3rd and won't go back into 4th unless you stop and turn the engine off. When you start it again its OK for a while and then it does the same thing. It will change down OK but it will only change up to 3rd. All the other gears change OK.

As I don't know a lot about 4 speed autos this may be a job for the auto electrician.

Second problem being it has a vibration. First I thought it may have been the tailshaft but while driving along you can put it into neutral and the vibration goes away. When you start the car and its sitting still you can feel a vibration through the car. I'm thinking it may be exhaust, but its not hitting anywhere under the car but being big diameter pipe it is pretty solid.

Other wise, its great. Its just a bit hard to drive when your going down the street and your trying to look in the shop window reflection to see how cool it looks.

Mal, what a great job you have done..... maybe your vibration could be a bent alternator shaft or other such as power steering or a crook pulley bearing.

i got no clue when it come to tecnoligy so can't offer any assistance

as for checking yor car out in the shop windows, so i'm not the only person that does it

I didn't show you guys what I ended up doing for windscreen washer jets.
It's probably been done a thousand times before but I haven't seen it anywhere else.
Not wanting to have a washer jet in the bonnet and being unable to find original washer jets
this is what I came up with. I removed the original screw/plug from the wiper base, drilled it out
to 6mm, tapped a 6mm thread and fitted this

Yes a grease nipple, works bloody brilliant, just remove the ball and hey presto a washer jet.

Well I do have the changing gear thinge to sort but that is it, so I'm calling this project finished.

I just want to thank everyone for their assistance during the build. Without everyones assistance
I'm sure I would have got the shits and sold it. All I can say is thankyou all and now I do have Yamba in my sights.
Looking forward to meeting so many that have input into this car.

Not a dull moment for the whole build..and a great inspiration for all...however if I can make one critisism....YOU MAKE IT LOOK TO DAMN EASY!
