You'll have a bit of work ahead of you

when its done its only you thats gotta be happy with the end result

I'm quite interested to see how this project pans out, not just in terms of appearance but also driveability.

Just wanting your input on a few things- I'm considering some larger wheels for my project, although not to the extent that you're going. I'm leaning towards more of a Pro-Touring kind of feel.

What are you planning brake wise? I imagine that large metal wheels like those would be like four big flywheels on the corners of your car, and pulling up within a reasonable distance would put a great stress on your anchors. And vice-versa, getting the wheels into motion would require a few engine mods for some much needed power, correct? Or at least a diff ratio change to keep the revs in a happy range.

And also, would it be easy enough to satisfy the engineer's requirements in order to run wheels that are over 1.5 times the size they came out with?

Best of luck with the project. I'm going on 25 myself and I find it great that the new generation of car builders aren't just sticking with Commodores to play around with.

Cheers
Ben

Interested to see this car finished- will be impressive to see you make those rims fit.
I think the big diameter spokes look good on late 60s caddys and some of the other big yank cars, but the proportions are all wrong for the smaller holden IMHO.
As most have already said it's your car so you're the one who has to be happy with it not anyone else. You're not the first person to express an interest in fitting up oversized rollers so you will no doubt have some valuable advice to offer up to the forum.
Incidently was wondering what your going to do for the frontend- my own experience is limited but those front tyres look pretty big- are you narrowing the track? You said youve done a v8 conversion- surely you don't have much room under there?

Plenty of room for 22s if you go this way!
