I'm surprised this one needs a reco, seeing as the motor got reco-ed some 20,000 miles ago..

Cal, when the timing gear went and the new steel gear was fitted, the guy tried to fit the crank cog as well. To get the old gear off the crank, a lot of heat was applied. I guess the heat transfered along the crank and the bearings didn't like it :(

Anyway, we will sort it.
