Thanks everyone I had never seen this strip before. I dont s'pose anyone has the metal strip they would like to part with???
By the way, as Rosco the (happy) birthday boy said, the 3 drain holes/slits at the bottom of the beaver panel were all filled with the original body tar goop. Never worked from new
