Gazza,

That body is a good one alright.

Have a good think before you use the mini spool, they can make the car a pig to drive, wear tyres quick, squeel around every corner and can create huge push into understeer at speed. Not to mention undrivable in the wet with oversteer.
I use a LSD much better and lesss stress on the axles as well.

Regards Greg

Thanks Greg

The mini spool won’t be used on the street, I have two centres @ The B&W diff has a full spool billet axles 4:11’s ect plan is to race the ute (1/4) mile to iron out the bugs then swap motors and Finnish off and rego

Cheers

Gazza

Rear springs out today off to be reset 2 1/2” lower at WA suspensions

I’m sure this ute generates this bloody red dirt while I’m at work, stuff is like paint Image

Undecided on the firewall green or black

Ain’t it an Adelaide body Gaz? They were body colour I reckon. Anyway I like body colour on the firewall.

did they often do body colour firewall with inner guards black or were they either all engine bay black or all engine bay body colour?

Inner guards and entire subframe were always “black” Wally.

Your firewall looks like mine Gaz. I had every intention of painting it black but wound up rust converter-ing the driver's side then hit the whole thing with clear coat. It's a feature wall now (lol)

I always preferred black/clinker engine bays myself, but have warmed to the Adelaide-build body coloured firewall look. Just my 2 cents :)

Watching this build with interest, love that ride height. Keep us posted.

Bit more rubbing on the firewall tomorrow and then some primer and high build

Found a bit of rust that needs sorting 🤨

You've got some serious work going on there, Gary. Looking forward to watching it progress.

The power to weight ratio's going to be awesome with all that metal, dirt and rust you're taking out :yeahhh:

Cheers,

John
