This pictures shows where the blaster has put tape before he applied the 2 pack primer this is so that I will have clean steel to be able to weld to.

Most of the areas I knew about but there were a couple that I didn't

Making progress Neil.
Still lots to do. I'm glad I didn't have to start from this point.
I admire anyone that attempts a complete rebuild of this magnitude.

Hi Guys thanks for the comments; I feel really daunted sometimes when I look at it and don't know where to start first but I suppose I just need to sit down and get a plan together either that or I take it to your man Trevor you had better send me his number and introduce me I think.

Tom said it was not that bad a body and he had seen far worse and I'm sure he is right but first time I have gone back this far too.

Regards
Neil H

Now that I can post again I thought I would show a little progress.

Have now sorted an engineer same one that did my FC Sedan he was going to retire but has said he will do my ute he must have got bored.
Also contacted a retired panel beater thanks to Trev (60 Special) he is going to do the bodywork and paint for me.
I am still tackling the parts that I think I can manage with my shit welding, ratio isn't improving yet.
Made a couple of pieces and fixed some damaged areas at the bottom of the A pillar

And then started tacking in both new floor pans

Now to try to finish them properly then do gearbox floor hump and a couple of smaller repairs in the tray floor and sills. :unimpresseddd:

Finally seem to have got the setting right on the welder and was able to finish welding in the floor pans from inside still need to make sure it is right underneath then do gearbox tunnel.

Drivers side doesn't look the best but I got the swing of it when I went to the passenger side, now to get the grinder out :yeahhh:
