Yeah mate, took longer to get the water out and mop the floor afterwards than it did to wash the ute 🤣🤣

Well here we go - dropped the engine and gearbox oil today, changed both and now I have fark all oil pressure ImageImageImageImageImageImage coming home from Augusta the other day it was the highest I have ever seen it - up around 50 or 60 psi at 110kph now at idle it’s under 10 and the oil light comes on solid at the lights and no better than 20 once up and running

Gonna drop the oil again tomorrow and buy some fresh oil and change it out - the bottle I used was in the shed and already open so maybe the young bloke did something funky with it

I don't , that would entail dropping the sump or pulling the engine :esurprised:

I feel your pain,

Still waiting on seals and half the suspension is still out, haven't started the motor yet after my oil pump change !

Thats quite wierd from good pressure to nothing, oh well Blacky, you have to do what you have to do.

Deadlines are crap, but they do force you to get things done.

Hoping it was thin oil, and nothing worse.

I have a spare oil pump here if you need it. Came out of an EK ute. Ran real well, until it didn’t 😞

Cheers,
Harv

Well this is a turnup for the books - went to buy some oil and they didn’t have any - got home thought I would try it again and it’s fine - 15-20PSI at idle …..

Buggered if I know…… hoping the relief valve isn’t sticky Image

Maybe a blockage in the T piece? Anyway, good news.

Tonight’s mission - make an aerial mount for a UHF radio I am installing.. wanted it out of sight while driving so it went in the back of the tray. Was going to mount it behind the passengers head but my CDO dictated it had to be in the centre just to make it harder seeing as there is a press stud in the centre

Step one , get a piece of 1.6mm steel and cut off all the bits that don’t look like an aerial mount

Cut drill bend sand etc

Like a glove - the tonneau press stud closes so hopefully it will still be fairly waterproof
