Yes I must agree, the black behind the grill does look a lot better.
O well, I guess out comes the grill and lights again.
Thanks for the photo shop view.
Cheers.

This is awesome, you have really made the old girl special.
Still the classic EK, with all the extras.
Took a long time to read all the threads, but you certainly have spent the time and the money, and it looks like it's been worth it.
This is very similar to the look I was imagining for my wagon, but without the mechanical improvements (I'm not that confident - yet). Great to see a real example.
Love to see her in the flesh one day.

and hear her too.
Enjoy your break back at work.

Thanks for the kind words guys.
Have slowly been plugging away at the small things that take time.
Have finished off the consol with the stereo fitted and the electric window switches fitted. Just need
to fit the shifter cover now. Also have lined and fitted the glove box and the A/C pipes up under the dash.
What a prick of a job that was.

There's no room left under there for anything.
Also fitted the rear speakers into the parcel shelf and covered the wheel arch area beside the rear seats.
As spoken of in another post I got some lexon (like perspex) and made the lenses for the rear
number plate light. That was one easy job and probably took all of about 1/2 hour. After cutting
the lenses to shape and polishing the edge I used fine sand paper to sand the inside of the lense so as
to give off a white light and that you cant see inside the over rider. The photo shows the lense to be a lot
whiter than it really is.
After day 7 of 9 at work I'm itching for another few days off to get back into the shed and finish off the interior.
Cheers

I'm speechless......bloody beautiful job Malcolm!!
Very impressed with the simple but effective solution to the rear number plate light lenses!! Why did'nt I think of that??
The whole car is a work of art!
BE PROUD!
