Ha ha, thanks Patrick, but no thanks: there's very little rust there, hardly a challenge at all.
I'm absolutely sure there will not be a Project 4. There may not even be a Project 3 if I flog off the black ute first

.
Doing a bit of floor work on Project 2 over the last couple of days, will post a few pics when I have something finished to show

. Not going to meet my all 'rust finished by end of Dec' timeline but will be pretty close.

Progress report.
3 pans now in place. Firewall hole on passenger side left over from rust repairs is now closed in, and a few welds tidied up.
Back to drivers side to replace under seat brace and the last inner sill brace and the new hump install.
Used the shed cooler today and it's much better

You're going to be busier than a bricklayer in Beirut Brett. Try saying that three times quickly. Keep up the good work mate. It looks super clean.

Thanks Clay. Yes, but loving it! Should get the other floor pan and hump finished in the coming week, tidy up and paint that bit of flooring and then attack those scary rear quarters and tray supports while it's still on the spit. I'm thinking I may bolt my bucket seat adapter brackets to the floor where the original ones go and maybe weld on the inners. Something to discuss with the engineer.
Hoping the engine will be back in Jan so I can test fit front and rear axles and have it set up for initial inspection. 3.36 diff back tomorrow from diff dude, front end is ready to bolt straight on. So plan is to get rust repaired and firewall painted enough to fit k frame and brake lines on so I can test mount all the mechanicals ( except steering) for Feb 3rd critique. That's a fair bit isn't it ? - maybe notβΊ

Hey Brett
Nice work that looks good. Recall from a previous post you made some/all of those floor pieces which look great? Can you refresh my memory of thickness of metal, 1.0mm or 1.2mm?
At some point can you show how you achieved the flutes/grooves? I donβt have any floor work planned, more so just curious when admiring your progress.
Regards
Stephen

Hi Stephen, just used a bead roller. Others use a wood or metal dolley. Can make a range of forms but the two I have used are the ledge and the flute ones. Sheet is 1.2mm. PS: the main pans are Rare Spares. I use old thinners and a paint brush to clean off the black coating- works a treat.

Is that a manual or a powered roller Brett ? I have a manual one - a powered one would make life much easier , especially when doing larger pieces or doing stuff on your own

Nah, just a little crank handle. Joel's Garage is the source. Orange Betty Dave put me on to it
