Out in the sun and now the jellybeans look wrong
Some good centres, chrome nuts and a quick clean and they will really suit the car

The nuts and centres will match the rest of the chrome on the vehicle.
Cheers,
Harv

Looks amazing Greg! And hmmm, I think I might be with you, I’m not sold on jelly beans now that I’m looking at it with colour on.
What else have you got in mind?
I saw somewhere an EK Sedan with Chevrolet Rally rims and I thought that looked unreal...

Thanks guys, I might polish up the jellys in the coming months but I think I will use the prostars initially.

Stripping the paint back by hand is a very tedious and time consuming job but 2 panels down 6 to go !!!!

Who needs a paint baking oven when it's that hot? Better crack a coldie and watch the paint dry Greg.
Good work mate.
Cheers,
John

Hi Gazza,
I actually used a wood chisel and scratched the old paint off, it was the original and tends to chip away to the red primer. I then finished it off with a disc abrasive pad attached to a buff that strips the paint down and the surface rust as well. It took me 3 days to get it like that !!
The problem with being hot is you sweat and drip all over the steel, the next day it is rusty again so its hard work.

Awesome job mate
One of the painters at work informed me that it’s also good to ware painters gloves when sanding as the moisture from your hands will cause rust and other imperfections
Keep them pics coming gets me motivated to finish the ute
Cheers
