Saturday morning in Sydney started off fairly overcast and chilly with the neighbour on my back fence starting up their smokestack
I got out amongst it at 7am with a drill that's become second nature....clear everything out of the way...trolley jack, engine stand, welder...next lay out all the panel stands, crates, kitchen stools, garbage bins and whatever else I can used to sit panels on. Next push Old Timer out under the carport.
I got back into the rubbing and by mid morning I'd done both the sills, rear beaver, and dash and cleaned up some other sports needing more work. By this stage the cloud had disappeared but had been replaced by strong gusty westerly winds. Not good painting weather.

Dave arrived a bit later and finished off wet rubbing the guards. Then we pushed Old Timer out the front where we got busy with the wax and grease remover and fired up the compressor. By this stage the sun had really broken through and the wind had died out....puuuurrrfect!
The inside received the first coats of the Parisian Lilac.

The best feeling to watch the paint go on...

Stew, I don't know what Dave has in mind for cutting and buffing, but I have had very good results with Farecla G6 and G10, used with the Farecla foam pads.

A couple of coats with the doors off. Jams and openings and rear all done.

Hi Andrew I have no idea either but I'm sure the Barefoot Bodyman will have it worked out.

Not much sleep Rosco but probably got more than Dave who I think has pulled the muscle that runs down the side of your neck into you shoulder... Crikey you've got good eyesight....2 glovebox lids is right - one for the original badge and one for some pinstripe work...
Pics on the way Tim...
Yeah no sleep at all stewart. Between my neck and my back I have spent most of the day flat on my back in bed. The pain is incredible. Hopefully I can get to a chiropractor in the morning.
It was all worth it to see the smile on stewarts face. I even think I spotted a little tear at one stage.
The bare feet was a result of me only turning up with my good shoes and not wanting to wreck them.
It adds to whole backyarder persona.
Ill be buffing the car with good old green max compound and a wool pad. Then a glaze after that.
The farecle is good for two pac and the foam pads burn acrylic if you arent careful quicker than you can blink.

Looks great! Last night I went back through and read the story of you picking it up again, it's come so far, to see the colour on it again must feel great.

Oh you're a funny guy...
If that was a tear then you were bawling...
