Thanks Guys,

Neil I painted it today and non reflective clinka grey it is.

All of a sudden I feel the need for originality, well on the outside at least.

Got a spot or two of dust in the Capricorn Coral in some areas if they don't sand/buff out I will do it again later.

Thanks for all the blessings guys,

The dash has held me up a touch, I painted it matt grey first then got finger prints and dust all over it and thought this will be hard to keep clean so went over it with satin as it should be.

Ha! After rowing that boat up and down the gears all round Sydney Saturday traffic, on a hot day no less, it felt like I HAD been riding a bike by the time I got home... I jest, it was fun to visit 8)

Oh, and don't listen to your mates, that paint looks awesome. A proper vibrant 60's colour for a proper 60's car, sometimes original can't be beaten I say. It's gonna be such a sleeper.

Keep the pics coming!

I’m with joe on the paint colour. Was a reasonably popular combo in the day and for good reason. When ever I see that colour it transports me back to FB EK Wonderland. Pastel colours suit the cars best.

I'm yet to conquer the dust, but today I saw it fly out of the gun, just like a snake of paint that builds up then lets go.

I use a filter in the gun as well as the throw away type but I think the build up is in the nozzle, not bad but annoying !

I will cut and buff anyway so hopefully it still comes up good.

Thanks for all the comments guys.

Out in the sun and now the jellybeans look wrong

I am at ease with the colour but need to learn the art of wet sanding and buffing so far so good !!!
