You may need a long range jerry can for the Nationals trips.

Got a bit done today , finished off the boot area, wired the fuel pump relay in , gave up on the VE sender idea and just wired the original one back in . Got all fancy and stuff - grabbed a couple of sockets out of EKMart and wired up the reverse lights - very swish ImageImage
Image

Built a cover over the fuel line, fuel pump wiring and battery terminal to reduce the risk of fire , which is pretty high considering who wired it up Image

Is painted up and ready to fit tomorrow after the fuel line fitting turns up - is handy having a neighbour who owns a Pirtek store ImageImage

Then I got the fuse box mounted and wired in the new glovebox, also replaced the dodgy as hell speaker wiring and tidied up the rest of the stereo wiring

Then seeing as the bulk of the dash wiring is done we loomed up the wiring and ran it under the guards , also got the dipper switch wired and the alternator, starter , O2 sensor etc run to where they need to be

Then spent an hour and a half bolting the Fkn starter motor in the custom pipes don’t allow the easiest access in the world and the top bolt hole in the chinesuim CRS bellhousing wasn’t happy about having a bolt inserted so I had to modify a tap to fit in a hex socket then use a heap of extensions and run a tap through the bastard using a short ratchet from just behind the alternator to clean the hole out - then the bolt would wind in by hand from underneath and nip it up with the aforementioned 24” extensions and ratchet so then bourbons happened and work came to a crashing halt …..

Getting it done
I hate extractorsmainly because they cook the starter then make it near impossible to replace.
