Ok, a few more panels painted. Got the outside of the bonnet & boot painted and also rear doors done.
Only the 2 front doors and front guards to go and all the painting is finished.
Hopefully will have them painted by the end of next weekend.
Then the fun starts of putting it all back together.

yeah... the chrome does look amazing on the yellow...

i dont know how you sleep when your soooooooooo close to finishing it, it'll be sad when it is finished as its been great fun & very educational watching this build...

i still reckon you need to swap the front tyres from left to right cause those groves should run the other way ....

But..............................There isn't much room for that front speaker, with all that wiring in the way.

Slowly working my way to the front.

Fitted the boot rubber & lock, all works good.

Fitted the rear door rubbers, got them from Rare Parts. I was really dreading putting the doors on,
as the last FB I painted and fitted door rubbers too, you couldn't even close the doors. They were rare spares
rubbers, but that as about 6 years ago also.
The Rare Parts rubbers are brilliant still can't believe how good the doors shut. Although I did have
to do a bit of cutting and shutting with the rear door rubbers as there not a real good fit that way.

Anyway, rear doors are fitted. Front doors are rubbed down ready to go on the weekend. Now starting on the worst
panels, the front guards.






Looking forward to Friday as I start my 2 weeks leave. Hopefully I
should be able to put a real hole in things by the end of that.

Oh yehh, sorry Sammy I still haven't changed over the front tyres
yet either.

Oh shit, nearly forgot, I've just added a picky of some of the interior
finished and ready for fitting.

thanks for the udate - there's not one aspect of your build or approach that I be able to offer any advice on Malcolm - you've cleared the path for many to follow................

Love your interior scheme - I feel it will just cap off what has been an exceptional project..............

I know you wouldn't accept anything less than perfect fits with your bolt on panels - your experience is well and truly presenting itself in this.

It is going to be well and truly ready for Yamba - I now relate my son's urgency to finish every game of mini-golf when as a child - it didn't dawn on him that it was not the rushing to the end which afforded most enjoyment - you are well and truly on top now - hope you are enjoying the completion without the pressure you've endured over the past 12 months................

I have been absorbed in this build - and will be very disappointed for the forum when it's done - mainly for those who won't get to see the result in person........
