Maybe you might still be able to do it but make up a spacer between booster and firewall to clear the hinge and make up a lengthened pushrod??
Yep, thats the plan
Just not gonna change the springs. If its gettin spaced out the extension tube thingo should be well clear of the springs too..
I have a dual circuit HK/WB M/cylinder here at home that bolts direct to existing FB/EK firewall holes with an approx 4 inch spacer ( to use with a remote booster ) and was thinking the same idea with spacer and HK master/vac system.
You lost me a little there, whats the spacer for with a remote booster?
....

What I mean't was to space the dual circuit HK-WB master cyl ( only ) out from the firewall with a spacer and extended pushrod to clear the hinge and springs and then mounting a remote booster ( say for example.... under the right guard ?? ) and use front boost only brakes.
Or
Use a HK/T/G master/vac system ( dual circuit M/Cyl bolted to the Booster ) and then bolt that assembly to the firewall with a spacer/ext pushrod to clear the hinges and spring.
Hope that makes sense

This a pic of my a HK brake booster with an original off set bracket, it fits next to the hinge but the spring has to be removed.
The shaft still comes out of the brake hole on the fire wall and connects to a bracket that extends it about 2 inches over, they are not a bolt straight on set up but with a few holes drilled and a few welded up (on the bracket not the fire wall) it is a really good set up.
I got this idea off Roger (creator of the trimatic to grey motor kit).

That was also my first though too Trev...But then you could also make the 'off set bracket' accommodate the clutch master cylinder inside it with a few clever cuts.
