I recon mock it up and stand back and look at it for a long time, you know what your doing.
I always thought 63 Buick Rivieria Headlights would be cool http://rodcustom.automotive.com/70683/0 ... index.html
but you cant pinch that kind of stuff from your local RSL carpark (anymore). Or what about the old finned Mercedes headlight or even these Pontiac ones on ebay at the mo. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 0341071063

not sure dude, not conviced by the picture to be honest....

the grilles not doing alot for me, the dual headlight can work but i don't know about dual FB/EK ones.... maybe if the bottom one was tapered into a smaller circle and housed the indicators....?

the grille bar i think not flat, mayeb build up to a point in the middle, like a large FB Fender Star....

cheers

Hard to tell from the sketch Mick......... I can see what your trying to do but I feel the lines will clash ....IMO......
Only a suggestion, what if you extended the top light forward so the bottom one can be set on the same angle.........just for a brainstorm and get the ideas flowing

Here's a quick pic of what I mean............. grille and indicators are your problem

Mirror image....... (keep in mind that I have not captured the true lines in either pic)

Top light moved forward (50mm .. ish)

Maybe ditch the front bar altogether and run a roll pan between the upside down lights?

I think it looks cool, Here is a little change to what Gary's done.
A couple of blinkers, Meshed grill, extended tail with curved fins, squarer front guard and FC front Bumper.
