Well, bit of a shit fight, but…..
I had to assemble it with the control and pump in the carport so as to have room to install the back piece of the locking rod, after the ramps were bolted up. My carport is rough arse hard stand and between 70 and 120mm lower than the shed floor, which didn’t help. At least I proved that I can roll it in and out with the pump attached, but only by skewing the other end into the second bay. Nearly 19 years of detritus didn’t help. The plan was to get rid of or relocate most of it prior, but I didn’t want to hang getting this happening on that big old hook. I’ll spend tomorrow fine tuning.

Elle looks very pleased that her toy is inside mate.

It is extremely dusty at our place now Neil. I don’t recall seeing it this dry for a few years.

I adjusted and torqued the cable and lock bolts on top of the pillars, took the car up to the first lock point, then took it off and torqued up the runway bolts. I can’t see any torque specs on the document, so it’s just nizen tite.

Need an
attachment for these flush grease nipples.

Installation instructions are a bit average, and fail to mention anything about fitting the lock plates and top caps. YouTube came to the rescue with a professional 1 man installer, but he skipped over the lock plates and end caps also. Hydraulic connection information was also lacking, and the manual didn’t even show the return line. I had to bodgy out the hole in the runway side to pass the little moulded elbow and fitting.

Just need to get some grease in it and fine tune position. Getting the car on and off was a shuffle.

Hah ha you funny man. Yes hadn’t thought of that though. You’re right. I will achieve a bit more height by bringing the lock plates up on the threads, and possibly dome conveyor belt rubber under the legs.

Final comments on the tufflift 3.6t four post hoist. Very happy overall, other than that the rolling jack is leaking fluid from the master cylinder when it is released from load to fully down. They were supposed to get back to me about it today but have not.

I didn’t have it up to the top lock position when I put the ute under it but plenty of room now.
The final test getting the cruiser on it with adequate height to work underneath, but limited by the height of my shed.
