I cant wait to hear what the sound is Nomad ... have no clue what this set-up sounds like, so its got me pretty curious !!

The van came back on Wednesday from the shop and the new colour is on !!! This is the original colour - Katherine Beige ... the whole van will be copping a coat of it eventually.

Engine accessories turned up yesterday for the Van.

Rocker Covers, Pump block off, coil cover, Oil tube/cap, fuel log and carby parts ( 94 rebuild kits, ss screw sets, choke arms, plunger arms etc)

Very impressed with all the parts, these were all supplied by Vintage Speed in the US. I had nothing missing and everything was vaccuum sealed. Everything appears to be of high quality and they had no problems shipping to Australia.

Would definetly recommend Vintage Speed.

Was a suprise to get it all, I had ordered it 3 months ago and was told parts were on back log.

Nomad as the turbo been finished ?

Could you please give a run down on the "driveline" area, on what mods you did to the six to make it turbo compatible ? Very interested in how it works, compression plates etc - for the internals of the red.

Wayne, I tried to con Shell into letting me grab a 3x2 set-up for the EJ - using triple stroms but she wasnt too impressed. Told me to leave her car alone as she likes it just the way it is ............. aint going to stop me getting venetians thou !!

Mephious,

Was going through old posts at work (yeah nice and bored), and only just noticed you asked about my turbo setup...so here goes

Its not finished far from it, it will really get sorted when the car goes away for final body prep & paint....everything is planned and hoefully will work but as we all know aftermarket (ie. after modifications) is ment to work....

Its a 186 block bored 40 thou
202 (40 thou) pistons as this lowers the compression enough to not require a decomp plate and longer pushrods
Turbo Grind cam (yet to order)
AC Delco lifters
Blue Motor Electronic Dizzy
JP Hi Vol Oil Pump
Will need Custom Sump (to clear steering, allow oil return line etc...)
Mini Stater Motor (to get as much room between it and the Wastegate but not neccessary)
Head will have required work to get better flowing and set for unleaded
Cat Racing 1.5:1 Rollers
Normalair/Garrett Strata Intake and Exhaust Manifolds
Garrett T04b turbo
42mm Normalair/Garrett Strata Wastegate set only to 6psi
1.75" SU
JP Timing Gears
(possibly add water injection/cooling in aswell later on

All bolter to a TH700, running cable Kickdown

And i will be running air con!

As for all that hows the Van going?

Cheers
