Way too long since last update. Haven't done to much but it's slowly moving forward.

The floor member that takes the subframe y legs was cactus the whole way across from one sill to the other. Luckily my old donor EK wagon had a reasonable one except for the passenger side. I repaired the rust, bolted the subframe up and welded it all back together and managed to do the first floor pan.

Here are the pics

What I started with.

Floor member from donor, 3mm plates to sleeve the repair section plug welded in.

More rust.

Cut it out.

3mm Flat bar repair.

All back in.

Floor pan.

Cheers
Sam :)

Yeah can you come up to Brissy and work on mine?
You might be waiting awhile Tim, I hardly find time to do mine let alone someone elses.

They certainly do Stuart.

I found some time and made little bit more progress. I did some repairs to the drivers side lower firewall and got the drivers side floorpan welded in.

Only the little strip between the pans and the front is done, then onto the back two.

It's butt welded around the edges and then plug welded every 30mm where it was originally spot welded. Yeah doing it all myself Finny.

Sam

A little bit more progress made. The two rear floor pans are in, one fully welded and the LHR waiting a new gas bottle for the mig so I can finish it. I ran out this afternoon, painfully frustrating. I sand blasted the area and then por15 painted them before welding the pans in.

Sam,
What has become of this wagon since your last post in 2014?
