What can I say awesome a very significant vehicle, not many of the earlier prototypes/specials/styling exercises still exist at least not till the HQ's

A fantastic pickup Steve and going to a great home.

Its a very early car 32nd down the line as the chassis start at 1001 and if memory serves me correct the first 20 chassis nos. from Melbourne are preproduction vehicles, its only 6 behind Tony Galea's special.

Steve have you spoken to Norm Darwin he used to work at GMH and has written a number of books on the history of GM & GMH http://www.handpub.com.au/index.php even if he has no info on your car he might know of someone else you can speak to.

Hi Steve,
Again, a knockout! What you turn up with! Being a Holden fan from an early age, I was really stunned at the EK premier
way back then in the late 70's! I suspect, they may have made a few prototypes!

All the 'odd bod' factory made holdens in the Lee brothers collection is a good example of what stuff Holden was doing and not making public knowledge.

I'm glad I mentioned it in Twin Fin way back then.

Regarded as the EK .... for the Big Kahuna .... Made for "Harlow W Gage", Managing Director of GMH.

I mentioned about this car to my father in law (Fred) tonight, the fact that it was a 'one off' build for a big knob.
Fred (who worked in the interior dept all his working life) relaid the story of a Mr John Bagshaw who was the sales director at
GMH Elizabeth SA, who had a 'one off' built made for him, for every model change while
he held that postion at GMH right through Holdens golden years. (pre Dunnydore)
I wonder where all thse cars are now?
Fred remembers doing white leather interior for Mr Bagshaws special order brougham one time.

Hi Leroy, I too am amazed this car survived. I hope the exposure this car may receive this year may turn up something else.

I was talking with Tony G about how close the chassis are to each other a few weeks back.

I haven't spoken with Norm about the car, only Dr Terry and Don Loffler, apart from the recent Vic Roads plate search. Thanks for the link.
