Sorry I didnt mean the steering was bad if thats the way it come across :oops: :oops: :oops:
No it was actually quite good the only real drama is if any of the joints are worn or sloppy it tends to magnify the slop, 3 knuckles plus the retainer bearing need to be in good condition.
My mates torana was only just finished I did the steering months beforehand, but his sister took the car without him knowing and the throttle jammed wide open, something on his list to check before he actually drove it on the road. A very short but sweet life for the torana.

I have a similar setup on my Fb and that is a pat gardner system, the only difference I can see is I have one less uni.
Mine is using a commodore column and cut down VB Commodore rack and has a uni coming out of the fire wall and another uni on the rack.

:oops: TAKE TWO hi all. thanks for the info on the rack setup ,it is a rodshop rear mount jobbie have got all the info i need and .ill set it up soon .have been waiting for a mate to fit the rear quater for 3 months ,so i bit the bullet and decided to have a crack(cant be that hard can it :roll: ??? famous last words ??]got the old one drilled off , some more rust to be rid of ,also sorted out the fuel tank spun sideways it fits nicely between the narrowed rails,i got a wagon fillerneck and its gonna line up perfect with the new quater hole .i was wrapped its all worked out that way so i keep the nice curves of the original tank witch i Imagewould have lost making a new one. some picsImageImageImage

YEAH DR I COULD SAY THAT I PLANNED IT BUT NO,,,IT WAS PURE ARSE ,,BUT VERY HAPPY THAT ITS WORKED OUT THAT WAY :(
